22nd of May Municipal Elections constitute a deadline for which parties organizations activate their mechanisms, and many professionals start working side by side with candidates, campaign teams, technicians, etc., in order to process information, collect different opinions, weigh up ideas and projects, answering questions...
GABISE S.A. has worked hard on this passionating mission of advising candidates, campaigns planification, carrying out surveys and qualitative investigation, or finding the best way of communicating with citizens... The main challenge is to connect with the current problems and to link politics and politicians to citizens. The main issues of debates are the budget cuts in the present crisis period, the efficient waste of public funds, new economic municipal resources and activities, as well as the permanent search of social integration in a varied neighbourhood, which is now under serious pressure due to financial problems.
The 22nd of May will mean an end to projects and studies, to objectives and campaigns, and the difficult electoral assessment will affect the future. That will be the time for testing the different political parties proposals against local realities.
From the 23rd of May onwards, they will have to follow the path of linking politics to every day life, to real problems, to the possibilities of answering the future challenges with realism and efficiency, to make progress to a better world. We know that’s not easy, but it will catch us working on it.
